Hi, I'm Annie

Journalist by way of photographyreporting and data. I'm interested in how we tell the stories that surround us, whether it's through words, visuals or interactive pieces built from code.

Currently, I'm an editorial fellow at Mother Jones, where I fact-check and research pieces for the print magazine. I also write for the website, mostly on education and politics. Over the summer of 2018, I was part of the Asian American Journalist Association's Voices program, reporting an investigative piece on the media industry's struggles with pay equity.

Previously, I was at the San Francisco Chronicle covering metro and occasional business news. Before that, I was a data reporting intern at The Oregonian via the Dow Jones News Fund. I've also been a reporting intern for The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Chalkbeat New York.

I graduated from Dartmouth College in June of 2017, where I studied a mix of political science, statistics and computer science. In 2016, I served as the executive editor of The Dartmouth, my college's print daily.
